Autonomous Control Based on Capacitor Energy Storage of Converter for DC Distribution System

The converter valve is the core equipment of DC distribution systems. This paper proposes an autonomous control strategy for grid-connected and islanded operation hybrid topology modular multilevel (MMC). overall structure designed, including outer loop inner current loop. Firstly, loop, it proposed to use equivalent capacitance storage energy MMC power module simulate inertia synchronous generator rotor achieve purpose buffer fluctuation. So, provides system inertia. Second, designed tracking suppresses transient fault effectively. It that reference value can be directly calculated through impedance matrix voltage across it. And small signal model a established. Then influence parameters on characteristics analyzed in detail. Finally, simulation built based PSCAD, simulating island operation, mode faults respectively verifying strategies.
